Want to travel light? Hiring household linen on holiday simplifies the organisation of your stay, especially for families and groups travelling with a heavily loaded car or by train. We offer two simple services to complement your apartment or chalet rental: linen rental (sheets, towels and tea towels, which you find directly in your rental) and end-of-stay cleaning, as an option. They are chosen at the time of booking, in the mountains as well as on the shores of Lake Bourget.

Why rent household linen on holiday?

Sheets for every bed, a towel per person, tea towels for the kitchen: for a family or a group of friends, linen quickly fills a whole suitcase. Hiring it on site makes a big difference.

  • Lighter luggage: no more sheets or towels to fit in the boot, and one less suitcase to carry if you come by train.
  • A simpler set-up: the linen is already in the property when you arrive.
  • No laundry on your return: the rented linen stays on site at the end of your stay, so you do not bring home your own sheets to wash.

Planning a family holiday in the mountains? Hired linen means more space for the children’s belongings, ski equipment or the week’s groceries.

What household linen is provided with your rental?

Our linen hire service includes sheets, towels and tea towels. It is chosen when you book: on the shores of Lake Bourget, our Aix-les-Bains agency supplies this linen to order.

Some details depend on the property: beds made or not on your arrival, linen provided for an extra bed or a baby cot. If one of these points matters to you, ask our advisers before you leave.

End-of-stay cleaning, an option for leaving without worry

Returning a clean property is one of the tenant’s obligations. Our general terms and conditions of sale remind you of this: unless otherwise specified in the property description, the rental price does not include end-of-stay cleaning. Without this option, it is up to you to leave the premises in perfect order and cleanliness: floors, windows, mirrors, sinks, sanitary facilities, dishes and pans, the fridge defrosted and left open, household appliances. A property returned dirty will incur cleaning and restoration charges.

With optional end-of-stay cleaning, your last day stays devoted to your holiday rather than to a big clean-up. A few tasks nonetheless remain your responsibility, under the same general terms and conditions of sale:

  • take out all your rubbish and dispose of consumables (food, sponges…);
  • clean the kitchen area: household appliances, dishes washed and put away in the cupboards;
  • put the furniture and objects back in their original place.

How do you book linen and cleaning?

Linen and cleaning are booked at the same time as your stay, from the rental’s page:

  • Choose your property from our apartments and chalets.
  • Open the rental’s detail page: the prices of your additional services are shown there at the time of booking.
  • Add linen, cleaning, or both, depending on your needs.
  • A question? Our booking centre in Bourg-Saint-Maurice answers all your mountain rental queries, on +33 4 79 07 05 17. For a stay on the shores of Lake Bourget, contact our Aix-les-Bains agency directly.

Availability by resort and property

We offer linen and cleaning to complement our rentals, but the services may vary depending on the property and the period. Whether you are staying in Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Méribel, Tignes, Val d’Isère or Aix-les-Bains, check them on the rental’s page before booking, or ask our advisers.

Looking for sheet hire in Les Arcs? To rent in Arc 1800, open the detail page of the property you are interested in: that is where the additional services and their prices are shown.

Inspections and returning the linen: good habits

Whether you have chosen linen, cleaning or both, a few good habits avoid unpleasant surprises when you hand back the keys. They draw on our general terms and conditions of sale, which you should reread before you leave.

  • On arrival: check the inventory and the condition report, linen included. As the check-in condition report is not carried out in your presence, you have 72 hours to report any problems you notice to the agency.
  • During your stay: follow the building’s house rules, particularly regarding hanging out laundry.
  • On departure: return the hired linen in good condition and hand the keys to the agency. On the shores of Lake Bourget, our Aix-les-Bains agency asks you to strip the linen from the beds and bathroom, then place it in a bag inside the property, near the entrance. In the resorts, ask the agency where to leave it.
  • In case of breach: we may deduct the necessary sum from the security deposit to restore the property.

Other services for a hassle-free stay

In the mountains, linen and cleaning come alongside other services: in the Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and Paradiski ski areas, we offer you the chance to book your ski passes online, and our agency hands them to you on the day of your arrival. A discount on group ski lessons or a covered parking space may also be offered to you: ask our advisers.

Would you like an even more organised stay? Ask our advisers: they will tell you whether a concierge service can complement these services for your property and your dates.
